Mario Passarello

Mario Passarello was born in Monteverdi Marittimo (Pisa) on May 10, 1954, and currently lives and works in Agrigento.

Strong, intense colors and forms in constant motion characterize his body of work.

His exhibition career began in 1978 and has continued without interruption ever since. In 1986, he participated in the Lamezia Terme Biennale, followed by major exhibitions in Ischia, Ferrara, Sanremo, Castelvetrano, Rome, and Abano Terme. In 2000, he exhibited in Madrid, earning significant acclaim from both the public and critics. An eclectic artist, he expanded his creative path in the 1990s into the world of theater, serving as both an actor and artistic director. He graduated with honors in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Agrigento. His career continued to flourish internationally, eventually leading him to New York City, where he exhibited successfully at the Broadway Gallery in Manhattan. In 2002, alongside his friend and collaborator, the violinist Alessandra Cuffaro, he created the series "I Capricci di Paganini" (Paganini's Caprices), a project that culminated in 2014 with an exhibition at The Music School of Delaware (USA). In 2015, he conceived and promoted the Manifesto of Metadimensionism; today, the movement includes 14 artists of national renown. Oil, acrylic, watercolor, tempera, palette knives, and brushes are the "tools of his soul."

A deeper approach to human relationships and his surroundings—born from a journey of introspection that began by chance—led him toward holistic disciplines. Today, Mario Passarello is also a master of Shiatsu, Reiki, and meditation techniques.

This spiritual path, combined with significant events in his private life, has emblematically influenced his art, giving rise to a unique form of expression that unmistakably defines his current production.
